In this tutorial, we will show you how to create a new trip using the trip route configurations pre-defined by the administrator.

To create a new trip start by chosing a predefined route or clone an existing trip from the main trip editor page. 

Your new trip will have prefilled information from the chosen route which you can further adjust.

TUTORIAL STEPS:

A) Create a new trip

  1. Open the Trip editor tab.
  2. Click the New trip button.

B) Select route for the new trip
  1. Select the Trip route configuration.

Note: The trip type, operator, line, route name, headsign and stops will be preset for the new trip based on the trip route configuration and can be changed specifically for the created trip if needed later.

The route is preconfigured in the system by the administrator. 
C) A New trip page opens where you can configure your trip with prefilled information from the chosen route:

  1. Enter the Trip number.
  2. Set the Operational date.







D) Configure trip stops

  1. Remove stops from the trip route by clicking the corresponding “bin” icons if needed.
  2.  Change the order of the stops if it differs from the trip route configuration. Use the drop-down list and change the stop order.
E) Adjust time schedule of the stops
  1. Select the exact time of Scheduled arrival for the first stop.
  2. Set the Dwell time and Duration to next stop for each stop of the trip.
Important: Scheduled arrival and Scheduled departure time values are automatically adjusted for all stops based on values of Dwell time, Duration to next stop and the Scheduled arrival specified for the first stop.
F) Optional
  1. Select the Platform for a stop from the dropdown list if it's different from the trip route configuration.
  2. Type the Headsign value for a stop of a trip if it's different from the trip route configuration.

G) Non-stopping and on-request stops
  1. Tick the respective checkboxes for Non-stopping stops and verify the accuracy of the Dwell time for these stops by entering the correct values.
  2. Tick the respective checkboxes for stops On-request.
  3. Confirm the creation of a new trip by clicking the Create new trip button.


H) Find your trip on the main trip editor page.
