Create your networks routes, which can serve as a template for your individual trips

The here created routes serve as basic data when creating a new trip. The route is selected and data from it is prefilled so that not every trip has to be created from scratch.

TUTORIAL STEPS:

A) Create a new trip route

  1. Open the Trip routes tab.
  2. Click the New button.
B) Basic information

  1. Fill in the basic route information such as Name, Line and Operator.
  2. Add further route information such as Description, Headsign and vehicle Type.
  3. Click the Add stop button to insert a trip stop.

Note: The trip type, operator, line, route name, headsign and stops will be preset for trips based on this route configuration, but can be adjusted later if needed.
C) Trip stop

  1. Select the trip Stop.
  2. Set the Dwell time and Duration to next stop for each stop of the trip. 
  3. (optional) Adjust the Platform and the Headsign for each stop manually if required. Note: When selecting stops their platforms are automatically pre-selected. The headsign value for a stop is also predefined by the value entered manually earlier in the base field. 
  4. Click on the Add stop button to insert further stops for the route.


D) Trip stops - further adjustments 

  1. If necessary, change the order of stops by dragging and dropping them using the six-dot icons.
  2. Tick the respective checkboxes for stops On-request and Non-stopping.
  3. Remove stops from the trip route by clicking the corresponding “bin” icons if needed.
  4. Click the Save button to confirm the creation of a new route.
Note: You can also set an Example arrival time to the first stop to create a travel schedule simulation. Based on this value, as well as the Dwell time and Duration to next stop values, the Example arrival and Example departure fields will be adjusted for all stops down the list.
