The VOICE module lets you play voice announcements across your airport, station, or public transport network — from automated boarding calls to ad hoc gate change notices. The Simpleway ecosystem is compatible with existing PA installations from most vendors, including Q-SYS, Bosch Praesensa, and Ateis, and also offers its own nnounce audio hardware.
Integrating with your PA (public address) system covers four main use cases:
Playing automated announcements
Delivering pre-recorded, scheduled, or TTS announcements triggered by an operator
Scheduling announcements in advance
Unifying fragmented PA infrastructure into a single controlling system and user interface
Because your airport's flight data is integrated into your instance, announcements can include flight-specific details pulled directly from that data — so passengers hear the correct information even after an ad hoc change, such as a gate switch. Flight data is managed in the Flight editor tab, and all flight-related assets are retrieved automatically from the integrated flight data and displayed in their respective tabs.
The following tutorials first cover how to set up communication between the Simpleway system and your PA system, then how to configure the audio setup of your Simpleway instance. Once that's done, you'll have several ways to trigger announcement playback in your audio zones, depending on the purpose:

Role-based UIs
GateUI and BaggageUI user interfaces will allow you to run flight-specific announcements to direct passengers to the right gate or baggage claim belt.

A generic announcement set is ready for you to play on the Paging tab but you also have the option to create and configure your own announcements in the Paging library. You can chose according to your preferencies or possibilities to create:
Text-to speech announcements,
Audio file upload,
Microphone recording.
Using the Queue tab, you will be able to track the progress and history of all types of triggered announcements along with their configuration information.
