    With the Announcement configuration tab, you have the ability to fully customize the announcements, categories, and layout of your paging tool. First of all you can use it for customizing your announcements in FlexUI, GateUI and BaggageUI. Second you can customize also your announcements on Paging tab and Announcement scheduler tab with the ops-generic announcement set.  You just need to select the appropriate configuration in the table and customize it according to your needs.

    For demo purposes we use the same announcement set (called ops-generic) on Announcement scheduler tab, Paging tab and General announcements in GateUI and BaggageUI. Announcements created on the Paging library tab are automatically synchronized with this announcement set and are thus available for selection on the Announcement scheduler tab, Paging tab and General announcements in GateUI and BaggageUI.

    In this tutorial we'll show you how to modify FlexUI as an example. Following the same steps, you can also configure GateUI and BaggageUI.

    TUTORIAL STEPS:

    A) Modify your FlexUI announcement configuration

    1. Open the Announcement configurations tab.
    2. Click the FlexUI configuration item.

    B) Add a new tile/category on the main FlexUI page

    As a general rule for any announcement configuration, you should either add only announcements on the main level or create a two-level structure, where the first level can have 0 - 8 categories with icons, and the second level can contain a list of announcements. Since the first level of FlexUI configuration has categories, you should only add categories here.

    1. Click the Add category button.
    2. Name the new category.
    3. Click on Save button.
    C) Click on the new category folder.
    D) Add announcements to your category.
    Now that you are in the second level of FlexUI configuration, you should only add announcements here.

    1. Click the Add announcement button. A new Select announcements sub-window opens.
    2. Select the desired announcement. You can navigate through the Paging Library and TTS Library using the corresponding buttons next to the search field.  


    Note: Repeat the steps as many times as you need announcements.

    E) Use the directory path to return to the first level of the directory structure.
    F) Managing order of the categories and announcements 


    1. Click the Manage order button. A new Manage order of items sub-window opens. The items displayed in the window will be relative to the current directory level which may include either only categories or only announcements.
    2. Change the order of the categories or announcements by holding the left mouse button over the six-point element and then dragging them up and down.
    3.  Click the Change order button to confirm changes.



    G) Change the category icon

    1. Open the three-dot menu of the new folder and select the Change icon option.
    2. Select an icon from the list. Use the search box to find the desired icon more quickly. After selecting an icon, you can use the Rotate and Flip buttons to adjust it to your liking.
    3. Save your selection and adjustments.

    H) Save all changes. FlexUI will now show an additional category with the selected icon and selected announcements inside.
