ONLINE LIBRARY - Import a Simpleway template

You have free access to our Simpleway templates, just need to download it to your installation with a couple of clicks from the Online library.

In this tutorial we will explain you the steps you would need to complete before the ready-to-use template is available for your displays:

  1. Import the Simpleway template to your installation, see tutorial below.
  2. Adjust the imported template to your needs as adding your logo, refering your data sources etc. 
  3. Publish the template.

TUTORIAL STEPS:

A) Templates 
  1. Open the Templates tab.
  2. Click the Import template button.
B) A new window opens, where you can see folders and files of the Online library you have access to.

  1. Navigate the folder structure to find the desired template.
  2. Select the template by clicking on the item.
Note: You can also click on the Choose button and skip the next step.

C) A new window opens with the list of all available template versions with version comments and the data of the last change in the corresponding columns.

  1. Select the version of the template you want to import - simple click on the item or click on the Choose button.

D) A new Import window opens with template preview.

  1. Click the Import button.

E) The selected version of the template is imported to the Templates tab.

Now you need to publish and customize your tempalte and then assign it to your display/s.

STEPS TO RESOLVING IMPORT CONFLICTS:

When importing an existing template (template name matching), you will be prompted to choose a conflict resolution in the Resolve conflict popup, where you can either  

  1. choose a new name for the imported template or  
  2. import the template as a new revision of an existing template. 

Option 1 - Importing a template with a new name:


  1. Enter a new name of a template.
  2. Click the Save with new name button.

Option 2 - Importing a template as a new revision:

A) Click the Import as new revision button.
B) Locating the imported revision

  1. Open the Version history of a template using the three-dots menu.

C) Version history

  1. Template is imported as a latest, unpublished version of the existing template.
  2. You may now Open, Publish or Copy the revision using the three-dots menu.
