In this tutorial, we will add flight destinations, gate numbers, carriers, etc., to your system.
Using the tabs in the Assets section in the left-hand menu bar, you can manage your:
- Airports - names and IATA and ICAO codes of destination and origin airports,
- Gates,
- Belts,
- Carriers,
- Check-ins.
Additional assets for your system can be defined in the Custom fields tab to create your fields. For example, you can create a custom field to track the manufacturer of your displays.
Note
Using the built-in flight data feed, we are populating as many asset values as possible. Often, the flight data feed does not contain complete data - in this situation, you need to add the values (e.g., Belt codes) by hand using the functionality described in this tutorial.
Topics covered:
Assets - Airports, Carriers, Check-ins, Gates, Belts and Custom fields
TUTORIAL STEPS:
A) In the Assets section, open one of the configuration tabs - Airports, Carriers, Check-ins, Gates, or Belts.
| |
B) Configure your new gate item.
| |
C) To create a new belt, check-in counter, etc. Repeat these steps in the respective tab of the Assets section.
D) To categorize your screens or add any other attributes, use Custom Fields. Here you can create a new field for your displays with your custom values.
| |
E) Configure your new Custom Field.
Note: All your new custom fields are automatically visible on your displays in the Asset values part.
F) Now, you have to assign the required asset value to your displays and use the field in your template designs. See tutorial Connect and configure DISPLAYS of the Simpleway CX Quickstart Guide how to do it. |
