Ducker component is used to automatically lower the volume of one or more audio channels when a "priority" channel's signal exceeds a defined threshold. The priority channel is then mixed into the outputs, either replacing or playing louder than the attenuated channels .
The component allows you to adjust:
The gain applied to the main channels
The hold time for the reduced gain on the main channels
The attack and release times for how quickly the gain is reduced and restored, ensuring smooth transitions
The gain of the priority channel
The Ducker supports 1 to 8 audio inputs with one designated priority channel. You can either select a preset detection time or manually control it. The priority channel is the first input on the left side of the component.
A common use case is for emergency announcements, where all other channels are attenuated, and the announcement is prioritized.
With the Add IO button you can insert additional input and output pins on the ducker component. With the Remove IO button they are deleted again.
Use mouse over to see the the signal pin explanation.
P - Priority input signal,
1 - Primary input signal.
