Designer basics

Description

The nnounce Design Editor allows you to configure audio processing by dragging and dropping the components onto the canvas and connecting them.

DSP (Digital Signal Processing) design components are used to process and route audio between inputs and outputs.

Example of ampnode4 design:

Tip!

Zoom in and zoom out your canvas with the magnifier icons in the right lower corner or with CTRL+mouse scroll wheel.

The auto-scroll feature is activated when the user drags a connection toward the edge of the visible workspace. The view scrolls in the direction of the cursor, allowing connections to be created between visible and off-screen components.

To create a design for your device:

  1. Drag and drop the individual components you need from the upper menu to the canvas.

  2. Optional: Name your components to give them unique names/labels.

    - The components are automatically numbered.

    - Edit them if needed with the edit icon in the component header.

  3. Arrange them by dragging them to the required position on the canvas.

  4. Connect the components as needed, you have to options how to wire the components:

    a. Select a connector on a component and drag the wire to the destination connector.

    b. Name the connectors and connect them to already named connectors without virtual wiring.

  5. Click on the button Deploy Design to activate it.

Note:

Important

You can use your nnounce device within a Q-SYS installation in basic mode. In that case you will configure streams in the Q-SYS plugin within the Q-SYS Designer. In basic mode the plugin takes over the configuration of audio processing and streams in the nnounce Design Editor.

To modify an existing design, click on the button Edit Design and follow the steps above or watch the video.

Note:

You can add a maximum of 32 components of the types netRx + netTx + Router Input + Router Output + Audio Player to the Designer.

Import Design

You can reuse a design that has already been created and import it for your device. Once you have clicked on the Import Design button, you can select the design file at your workstation.

Export Design

You can export your design to use it on another device. Once you have clicked on the Export Design button, the design file is immediately downloaded to your workstation.
