In this tutorial we will show you how you can create or configure an ionode4 DSP design, define TX and RX streams, set the time zone and reboot the device directly from Simpleway Cloud CX. The same can be done directly from the ionode4 configuration user interface.
Topics covered:
Audio devices tab
TUTORIAL STEPS:
A) Audio devices tab
Open the Audio devices tab.
Click a connected nnounce device. The Edit item page will open for modification of the device settings.
Design settings
A) Run time configuration - Design settings
Click the cog button next to the Design name field. The design view mode will open.
B) Design - view mode
To modify the design, click the Edit design button. You may also Export or Import design in the view mode.
C) Design - edit mode
Create/customize your design by dragging and dropping the available items in the top menu onto the canvas and make connections by dragging and dropping wires.
To deploy the design, click the Deploy design button. You may also Export or Import the design.
Streams settings
A) Run time configuration - Streams settings
Click the cog button next to the Streams field. The device streams management sub-window will open.
B) Device streams management window
Click Add stream button for the TX stream.
C) Stream setup
Insert the following information about the stream:
•Type – select AES67
•Set the Number of channels using the plus/minus buttons
•Set the IP port of a receiver (e.g. Q-SYS core)
•Individual Channels can be assigned to “Net Tx” from the DSP design.
Add stream button for the TX stream.
Click the Add New Stream button.
Repeat the same procedure for the RX stream.
Note:
TX stream – transmits audio to other devices, output.
RX stream – receives audio from other devices, input.
One stream can have 1 – 8 channels.
IMPORTANT: To fully configure network streams, network inputs and/or network outputs must be included in the DSP design, and the DSP design itself must be saved and deployed.
Time settings
A) Run time configuration - Time settings
Click the cog button next to the Time settings field. A new sub-window will open.
B) Time settings window
Insert the following information about the time settings:
•Time zone – select the time zone from the drop-down menu.
•Set the PTP domain using the plus/minus buttons.
•Set the Network Time Protocol in the NTP primary server and NTP secondary server fields for time synchronization.
Click the Save button.
Rebooting the device
A) To reboot the device simply click the Reboot button.
Note: While the device is rebooting, disconnection will be indicated by a red circle and the Reboot button will disappear. After rebooting, the connection will return to green and the Reboot button will reappear.
