Article summary

Create your announcements specific for your airport/premises on the Paging library tab.  You have three different options for how to create a new announcement for your audience depending on your preferences or sources:

Announcement scriptThe text-to-speech function can be used for creating your custom announcement.
Audio file uploadUpload an audio file from your working station directly to your cloud instance.
Microphone recording Use your working station's microphone to record your custom announcement.

Announcements can have a visual message/transcript defined so that they cannot only be heard from the amplifiers, but also seen on displays. This means that zones will have to be selected that include both audio device outputs and display configurations before the announcement can be played. Templates with a visual paging component must be assigned to these displays, as described in the Visual paging tutorial.

After you create your custom announcements on the Paging library tab they will automatically become available on the Paging tab for playback, but you can also add them to other configurations on the Announcement configuration tab. For example, you can add them to configuration of the Trip type for the Arrival paging and Departure paging tabs, etc.

Create your folder structure on the Paging library tab to organize your announcements. Just use the "New folder" button and move your announcements to it.

Note: For your demo instance we have already added to the library one announcement.
