Create a DISPLAY BANK

  • PDF

Article summary

In this tutorial, we will create a display bank configuration that uses several separate displays, assuming you already have displays connected and configured. If you need a refresher on this topic, see tutorial Connect and configure DISPLAYS

Display banks are composed of two or more displays that show interconnected content, such as flight lists or any other kind of lists paged over several pages/displays. Display bank layout can be designed according to the physical installation of your displays by setting up its dimensions - the number of displays horizontally and vertically.

Note: The configuration of the display bank always overrides the configurations of the individual displays included in that display bank.

The display banks have a content fallback function that determines the display order in the display bank in case of failure of individual displays. The content of the disconnected display moves according to one of the following options that you can select:

  • Right then down - the content moves first to the right and then down, will be most used when for example flight list is arranged horizontally.
  • Down then right - content is moved down and then right, used when flight lists are paged vertically.

You can use Asset values in the display bank in the same way you would when configuring individual displays, allowing you to assign specific attributes to the displays for data-driven content rendering.  You can create your own airport-specific asset values in the Asset section, such as Carriers, Gates, etc., as well as custom values in the Custom Fields tab, and then use them in the display bank configuration window.

  • No restriction for the content resolution is applied when assigning any template, content is always stretched over the whole display bank. Aspect ratio according to the display bank resolution(sum of individual added display resolutions) and template resolution is fixed and black stripes added on the sides of the display bank in case when the content's aspect ratio is different.

To add content to  your display bank, follow the tutorial Configure content for display bank.
